Balsamita major (Costmary)
Balsamita major, commonly known as Costmary, is an herbaceous perennial plant. It features large, aromatic, deeply toothed leaves and produces clusters of small yellow flowers in the summer. It is grown for both its ornamental value and its culinary uses. The leaves have a strong fragrance when crushed and can be used in potpourri or as an insect repellent. The plant reaches a height of approximately 2-3 feet and spreads about 1-2 feet wide.
