Carex amplifolia, commonly known as Big Leaf Sedge, is a grass-like perennial plant that prefers wet conditions. It has large, broad leaves and spreads through rhizomes. This sedge grass is commonly found in wetlands or along the edges of bodies of water. It can reach a height of 2 to 4 feet and has a similar width.
