Carex appalachica (Appalachian Sage grass)
Carex appalachica, commonly known as Appalachian Sage grass, is a perennial grass that is native to the eastern United States. It forms dense clumps of narrow, arching leaves that have a blue-green color. In the spring, it produces small brown flowers on wiry stems. This grass is an excellent choice for rocky or woodland gardens, as its compact size and low maintenance make it ideal for these types of environments.
