Carex buxbaumii (Buxbaum's Sedge)

Carex buxbaumii, commonly known as Buxbaum's Sedge or Brown Sedge, is a species of perennial grass-like plant in the family Cyperaceae. It is native to North America and can be found in the far north regions. This sedge has long, narrow, brownish-green leaves forming dense tufts. It produces small brown flower spikes in the summer.
