Carex muskingumensis (Palm Sedge grass)
Carex muskingumensis, commonly known as Palm Sedge grass, is a perennial grass that forms dense clumps. It has narrow, arching, dark green leaves that resemble the foliage of a palm tree, hence the name. This grass produces inconspicuous flowers on tall spikes that rise above the foliage in late spring and early summer. It is an excellent choice for adding texture and interest to moist areas, such as rain gardens or along water features.
