Carex shortiana, commonly known as Short's Sedge, is a clump-forming perennial grass that thrives in wet conditions. It is characterized by its 3-stem structure and is often found in boggy areas or along the edges of ponds and streams. It has long, narrow green leaves and produces small inconspicuous flowers. Short's Sedge provides excellent ground cover and is frequently used in wetland restoration projects.
