Tussock Sedge, scientifically known as Carex stricta, is a wetland grass that typically grows in clumps or tussocks. It is commonly found in marshes, swamps, and along stream banks. This grass has long, narrow leaves that are green or sometimes brownish in color. Tussock Sedge produces small, inconspicuous flowers on spike-like inflorescences that rise above the foliage.
