Carex tribuloides, also known as Pointed Oval Sedge grass, is a perennial, clump-forming grass that is native to North America. It features slender, arching leaves that are dark green in color. In late spring to early summer, it produces small, inconspicuous brown flowers that are borne on stalks above the foliage. This grass prefers moist to wet soil and is commonly found in marshes, wet meadows, and along stream banks.
