Carpinus caroliniana (American Hornbeam)

The American Hornbeam, also known as Carpinus caroliniana, is a deciduous tree native to eastern North America. It is commonly found in woodlands and forests and is known for its attractive bark that resembles muscles. The leaves are dark green and have a serrated edge, turning yellow in the fall. It typically grows to a height of 20-30 feet with a spread of 15-25 feet.
