Cercis siliquastrum (Judas-tree/Mediterranean Redbud)

Cercis siliquastrum, commonly known as Judas-tree or Mediterranean Redbud, is a deciduous tree native to the Mediterranean region. It is renowned for its vibrant pink or purple flowers that bloom in clusters along the branches in early spring, before the leaves emerge. The heart-shaped leaves provide an attractive display in summer, turning yellow in autumn. Judas-tree typically grows to a height of 20 feet with a similar spread.
