Chasmanthium latifolium 'River Mist' (Northern Sea Oats)

Chasmanthium latifolium, commonly known as Northern Sea Oats, is an ornamental grass native to eastern North America. 'River Mist' is a cultivar of the species with unique variegated foliage. The plant forms clumps of arching, bamboo-like stems that reach a height of about 3-4 feet. It gets its name from the attractive oat-like seed heads that dance gracefully in the breeze.
