Chasmanthium (Uniola) paniculata (Southern Sea Oats grass)

Chasmanthium (Uniola) paniculata, also known as Southern Sea Oats grass, is a graceful perennial grass native to the southeastern United States. It forms clumps of arching, bamboo-like stems that reach a height of 3 to 4 feet (0.9 to 1.2 meters). The plant produces beautiful airy panicles of oat-like seeds that turn bronze in the fall.
