Coccothrinax proctorii (Cayman Thatch, Proctor's Palm)

Coccothrinax proctorii, commonly known as Cayman Thatch or Proctor's Palm, is a rare species of palm native to the Cayman Islands. It has a slender trunk that can grow up to 12 meters tall with a diameter of around 10 centimeters. The crown is made up of pinnate leaves that can reach lengths of up to 1.5 meters. This palm produces small yellow flowers and round fruits that turn black when ripe.
