Cornus macrophylla, commonly known as Bigleaf Dogwood, is a deciduous shrub or small tree native to North America. It typically reaches a height of about 30 feet and has a rounded shape. The leaves are large, hence the name 'macrophylla', and turn a vibrant red color in the fall. In spring, it produces clusters of small yellowish flowers that are followed by blue-black berries.
