Cornus walteri (Walter Dogwood)

Cornus walteri, commonly known as Walter Dogwood or Swida walteri, is a deciduous shrub or small tree that belongs to the dogwood family. It has a rounded shape and typically grows to a height of 30-40 feet. The Walter Dogwood is known for its attractive foliage, featuring elliptic to obovate leaves that turn reddish-purple in the fall. In early spring, it produces clusters of small white flowers, followed by blue to black berries that are enjoyed by birds.
