Cotinus coggygria (American SmokeTree/SmokeBush)

Cotinus coggygria, commonly known as American SmokeTree or SmokeBush, is a deciduous shrub native to southern Europe and Asia. It is best known for its unique, smoky appearance, with feathery panicles of pinkish-purple flowers that resemble smoke. The leaves of the SmokeTree are oval-shaped and turn shades of orange, red, and purple in the fall. This shrub typically grows to a height of 20-30 feet and a width of 15-20 feet.
