Crataegus coccinoides, commonly known as Kansas Hawthorn, is a deciduous shrub or small tree native to the central and eastern parts of the United States. It produces masses of white flowers in the spring, which are followed by small red fruits that persist into winter. The plant has thorny branches and glossy green leaves that turn shades of red in the fall. It grows to a height of 15-20 feet and has a similar width.
