Cypripedium acaule (Pink Lady Slippers)

Cypripedium acaule, commonly known as Pink Lady Slippers, is a terrestrial orchid native to North America. It produces a single stalk that can reach a height of up to 30 inches. The flowers are vibrant pink and shaped like a slipper, hence the common name. This orchid prefers shady and moist habitats, like woodlands and forests.
