Elymus riparius (Riverbank Wild Rye grass)
Elymus riparius, commonly known as Riverbank Wild Rye grass, is a native grass species found along riverbanks and wetlands. It forms dense clumps of upright, slender stems and produces graceful, arching seedheads in summer. The leaves are blue-green in color and have a fine texture. This grass is an excellent choice for erosion control and stabilizing riverbanks.
