Eysenhardtia texana (Texas Kidneywood)
Eysenhardtia texana, commonly known as Texas Kidneywood, is a thorny, deciduous shrub native to Texas and northern Mexico. It grows up to 10 feet tall and spreads up to 6 feet wide. The leaves are compound and dark green, while the flowers are small and white, blooming in clusters in late spring and early summer. The plant attracts butterflies and bees, and its seeds are eaten by birds and small mammals. It is drought-tolerant and can adapt to a variety of soil types.
