The Ferocactus emoryii, commonly known as the Fishhook Barrel Cactus, is a species of barrel cactus native to the Sonoran Desert. It is named after William Hemsley Emory, an American military engineer and surveyor. This cactus is characterized by its barrel-shaped stem covered in prominent ribs and sharp hooked spines. It blooms beautiful yellow or red flowers during the spring and summer months.
