Heliconia rostrata (Lobster Claw, Crab's Claw)

Heliconia rostrata, commonly known as Lobster Claw or Crab's Claw, is a tropical and subtropical perennial flowering plant. It is a member of the family Heliconiaceae and is native to South America. The plant features large, vibrant red bracts that resemble lobster claws or crab's claws, hence the common names. The bracts surround small, yellow flowers.
