Ilex crenata 'Green Dragon' (Japanese Holly)

The Ilex crenata 'Green Dragon' is a male cultivar of the Japanese Holly. It is an evergreen shrub with a dense, compact habit and small, glossy green leaves. The foliage of 'Green Dragon' resembles a dragon's scales, hence the name. This holly cultivar does not produce berries as it is a male variety.
