Ilex verticillata, commonly known as Winterberry Holly, is a deciduous shrub native to eastern North America. It is best known for its stunning display of bright red berries that persist throughout the winter, hence its common name. The plant has a rounded growth habit and reaches a height of 6-8 feet. The width of the shrub is generally equal to its height.
