Lagerstroemia speciosa (Giant/Queen's C, Pride of India)

Lagerstroemia speciosa, commonly known as Giant/Queen's C or Pride of India, is a large deciduous tree native to Southeast Asia. It features showy, pink or purple flowers in large clusters that bloom in summer. The tree has smooth, peeling bark and glossy green leaves that turn orange-red in the fall. Growing up to 80-100 feet tall and 50-60 feet wide, it makes a stunning addition to any landscape.
