Larix kaempferi 'Blue Dwarf' (Japanese Larch)

Larix kaempferi 'Blue Dwarf' is a compact and slow-growing cultivar of the Japanese Larch. This deciduous conifer has a dense and sturdy structure, with branches that spread in a horizontal fashion. The needles emerge bright green in spring, turning bluish-green as they age. In the fall, the foliage transforms into a beautiful golden-yellow before dropping. 'Blue Dwarf' forms a small pyramidal shape and is an excellent choice for smaller gardens or as a bonsai tree.
