Leucaena retusa (Golden Leadball, Littleleaf Leadtree)

Leucaena retusa, commonly known as Golden Leadball or Littleleaf Leadtree, is a small flowering tree native to northern Mexico. It is characterized by its vibrant golden-yellow spherical flower heads that bloom from late spring to early summer, attracting various pollinators. The plant has bipinnate leaves consisting of small oval leaflets, giving the foliage a delicate and feathery appearance. Golden Leadball typically reaches a height of 10-15 feet and spreads to about 10-12 feet in width.
