Barrelhead Gayfeather, also known as Liatris cylindracea, is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the central and eastern United States. It is characterized by its tall, cylindrical flower heads that bloom in late summer, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies. The plant grows up to 3 feet in height and produces dense spikes of pinkish-purple flowers. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil.
