Liatris squarrosa (Colicroot)

Liatris squarrosa, commonly known as Colicroot or Scaly Blazing Star, is a perennial flowering plant native to North America. It has narrow, lance-shaped leaves and produces tall spikes of purple flowers in the summer. The plant attracts butterflies and other pollinators. It can reach a height of 2-3 feet and spreads to about 1-2 feet wide.
