Lophocereus shottii (Senita Cactus)
The Senita Cactus, scientifically known as Lophocereus shottii, is a slow-growing, columnar cactus native to the deserts of Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. It has a distinctive cylindrical trunk covered in ribbed, gray-green stems, and it can grow branches as it matures. The Senita Cactus is characterized by its unique relationship with the saguaro cactus, as they often grow in close proximity to each other. This cactus blooms beautiful, fragrant white flowers in spring, followed by small reddish fruit.
