Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Waasland' (Dawn Redwood)
The Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Waasland', commonly known as Dawn Redwood, is a deciduous conifer tree. It is known for its unique characteristic of being able to shed its leaves in the fall, similar to a deciduous tree. During the spring and summer, its fern-like foliage is a vibrant green, while in the fall it turns a stunning golden-orange color. This cultivar, 'Waasland', is named after the region in Belgium where it was discovered.
