Parrotia persica 'Biltmore' (Persian Parrotia/Ironwood)

Parrotia persica 'Biltmore', commonly known as Persian Parrotia or Ironwood, is a deciduous tree that is native to Iran. It is known for its stunning display of colors throughout the year. In spring, it produces small, red flowers that give way to dark green, glossy leaves. In the fall, the leaves turn vibrant shades of orange, red, and purple. The tree has a broad, spreading habit and develops a handsome, flaking bark with age.
