Pennisetum multiflorus (Manyflowered Bveard Tongue)

Pennisetum multiflorus, commonly known as Manyflowered Bveard Tongue, is a herbaceous perennial grass. It forms clumps of arching, lance-shaped, green foliage. In summer, it produces tall, slender flower spikes that are covered in feathery, purplish-pink inflorescences. These inflorescences persist well into the fall, providing ornamental interest. Growing up to 3 feet in height, this grass is a beautiful addition to borders, wild gardens, and meadows. It is also drought-tolerant and attracts birds and butterflies.
