Persea borbonia (Red Bay)

Persea borbonia, commonly known as Red Bay, is an evergreen tree with an oval shape. It is native to the southeastern United States. The foliage of Red Bay is glossy and dark green, while the bark is smooth and reddish-brown. This tree produces small clusters of white flowers in the spring, followed by black fruit in the fall that attract wildlife. Red Bay can grow up to a height of 20-30 feet and has a width ranging from 7 to 20 feet.
