Phlomis purpurea (Jerusalem Sage)
Phlomis purpurea, commonly known as Jerusalem Sage, is a herbaceous perennial plant native to the Mediterranean. It features whorls of large, ovate leaves with a textured, silvery-gray appearance. In late spring and early summer, it produces showy clusters of purple, tubular flowers that attract bees and butterflies. This plant is known for its drought tolerance and is an excellent addition to xeriscapes. It typically reaches a height of 2 to 3 feet and spreads about 2 to 4 feet wide.
