Phlomis viscosa (Sticky Jerusalem Sage)

Phlomis viscosa, commonly known as Sticky Jerusalem Sage, is a perennial herbaceous plant that belongs to the Lamiaceae family. It has hairy, heart-shaped leaves with serrated edges and produces clusters of vibrant yellow flowers. The plant gets its common name 'Sticky' from the sticky resin that covers the leaves and stems. This resin has a strong aromatic odor.
