Phylica arborea, commonly known as Island Cape Myrtle, is a shrub or small tree native to the western and southern coastlines of South Africa. It is an evergreen plant with needle-like foliage and clusters of dainty white or pale pink flowers that bloom in late winter or early spring. This slow-growing plant has a compact, rounded form and typically reaches a height of 6 to 10 feet with a similar spread. It is an excellent choice for coastal gardens or Mediterranean-style landscapes.
