Pinus lambertiana, commonly known as Sugar Pine, is the tallest and largest pine tree species. It has a straight trunk and a relatively open, rounded crown. The bark is thick and deeply furrowed, and the needles are long and slender, forming tufts at the ends of branches. Sugar Pine is a majestic evergreen tree that can reach heights of up to 200 feet.
