Pinus resinosa 'University of Wisconsin', commonly known as Red Pine, is a large evergreen coniferous tree native to North America. It has a straight trunk with a pyramidal crown, and the bark is reddish-brown and furrowed. The needles are dark green, paired in clusters of two, and about four inches long. This cultivar, named 'University of Wisconsin', was developed by the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is known for its vigorous growth and adaptation to a wide range of soil conditions.
