Pithecellobium (Harvardia) ebano (Texas Ebony)

Pithecellobium (Harvardia) ebano, commonly known as Texas Ebony, is a small tree native to southern Texas, Mexico, and Central America. It belongs to the legume family and is characterized by its dense, dark green foliage and thorny branches. The tree produces small, fragrant white flowers and flat seed pods that contain black seeds. Texas Ebony is a slow-growing tree that can reach a height of up to 30 feet and a width of up to 20 feet.
