Pithecellobium (Harvardia) pallens (Tenaza)

Pithecellobium (Harvardia) pallens, commonly known as Tenaza, is a deciduous tree native to South America. It belongs to the Fabaceae family and can grow up to 30 feet in height and spread up to 20 feet wide. The tree has a dense, upright growth habit with thorny branches and bipinnate leaves. Tenaza produces small yellow flowers followed by twisted bean pods.
