Pittosporum heterophyllus (Japanese Pittosporum)

Pittosporum heterophyllus, commonly known as Japanese Pittosporum, is an evergreen shrub that is native to Japan, China, and Korea. This shrub features glossy, leathery green leaves that have a wavy margin and variable shape, hence the name 'heterophyllus.' It produces small, fragrant flowers that are purple to maroon in color. Japanese Pittosporum is an excellent choice for hedges, screens, or as a specimen plant in gardens.
