Plantago maritima (Sea/Seaside Plantain, Goose Tongue)

The Plantago maritima, commonly known as Sea or Seaside Plantain or Goose Tongue, is a perennial herbaceous plant that belongs to the Plantaginaceae family. It is native to coastal regions and can be found in sand dunes and salt marshes. It has long, narrow, grass-like leaves with prominent parallel veins. The plant produces cylindrical spikes of small, inconspicuous flowers. Sea Plantain is a low-growing plant that forms dense mats, reaching a height of about 10-30 cm and spreading up to 40 cm wide.
