Pseudosasa amabilis (Tonkin Cane)
Pseudosasa amabilis, commonly known as Tonkin Cane or Tea stick Bamboo, is a clumping bamboo species native to China and Vietnam. It is highly valued for its strong and flexible canes that have been traditionally used for making fishing rods, walking sticks, and furniture. The canes have a beautiful green color and thick walls, making them ideal for these purposes. Tonkin Cane grows in dense thickets and can reach heights of about 20 feet. It spreads slowly and is adaptable to a variety of soil types.
