The Pseudotsuga menziesii 'Elf', commonly known as Douglas Fir, is a compact evergreen tree with dense, dark green foliage. This cultivar is a slow-growing dwarf variety, reaching a mature height of around 6-8 feet and a width of 3-4 feet. With its pyramidal shape and excellent needle retention, 'Elf' makes a stunning addition to small gardens, rockeries, or as a container plant. It can tolerate a wide range of soil conditions and is an excellent choice for landscapes in USDA hardiness zones 4-6.
