The Douglas Fir, with the cultivar 'Loggerhead', is a large evergreen tree native to western North America. It has a strong straight trunk and dense, dark green foliage. The 'Loggerhead' cultivar is known for its unique blue-green needles that have distinctive twists and turns, resembling the head of a loggerhead turtle. This slow-growing tree can reach heights of up to 200 feet (60 meters) with a spread of about 20-30 feet (6-9 meters).
