Rhus glabra cismontane (Western Smooth Sumac)

Rhus glabra cismontane, commonly known as Western Smooth Sumac, is a deciduous shrub native to North America. It typically grows in a spreading form and can reach a height of 6 feet. The leaves are compound and dark green, turning vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow in the fall. In late summer, clusters of small greenish-yellow flowers appear, followed by attractive red fruit clusters that persist into winter.
