Sassafras varifolium (Saxifrax, Sassafras, Ague Tree)

Sassafras varifolium, commonly known as Saxifrax, Sassafras, or Ague Tree, is a deciduous tree species native to eastern North America. It is known for its distinct leaves that come in three different shapes - unlobed ovals, bilobed, and trilobed.
