Scirpus americanus (Chairmaker's/Common/Three Square)

Scirpus americanus, commonly known as Chairmaker's, Common, or Three Square, is a perennial grass-like plant. It has triangular stems and typically grows in wetland areas such as marshes, swamps, and along the edges of ponds. The plant produces clusters of small flowers in the summer and has dense, grass-like foliage. It can grow up to 3 feet in height and forms clumps that can spread up to 2 feet in width.
