Sempervivum montanum (Hen and Chicks)

Sempervivum montanum, commonly known as Hen and Chicks, is a hardy succulent perennial native to the mountains of Europe. It forms tight rosettes of thick, fleshy leaves that come in a variety of colors, including green, red, brown, and purple. The plant produces small flowers on tall stalks in the summer. Hen and Chicks is a drought-tolerant plant and is an excellent choice for rock gardens or containers.
